The City of Wisconsin Rapids extends a warm welcome to our charming City and the beautiful south Wood County Area. Wisconsin's snowfalls bring beautiful scenery to our area as well as fantastic outfoor recreation for our citizens and visitors. Over 254 miles of snowmobile trails, and 10 miles for cross country skiing and snow shoeing. Whether you prefer to enhoy the outdoors by snowmobile, by ski, or just by foot, there is sure to be a trail for you. Our area is home to Powers Bluff Park, offering fun skiing and tubing for all ages; and the 13th highests point elevation in the State of Wisconsin. It's a great time to experience the arts in the area. Wisconsin Rapids has its own Community Theater. ArtiGRAS returns in 2016 for 10 days of fun in mid-March. Additionally, the Performing Arts Center of Wisconsin Rapids is your connection to an array of entertainment ranging from professional dance, theater, comedy, and music. Wisconsin Rapids hosts an annual Souper Snow Sculpture Spectacular in January, which benefits the South Wood County Humance Society and involves both amateurs and professionals participating in snow sculpting that always leaves the City with masterpieces that can be enjoyed by everyone for the rest of the winter. The Wisconsin Rapids area hosts a Polar Plunge to support local Special Olympics athletes in early Febrary. Be sure to catch a hockey game at the South Wood County Recreation Center.
